Designers better get with the times and start jumping on the AI train or else they’re gonna get left behind. At least, that’s what Airbnb co-founder, Brian Chesky, is saying in an exclusive interview with Dezeen. He’s seen it before with digital design and the internet, and now he’s warning that the same thing could happen with AI. Chesky, who’s got a background from the Rhode Island School of Design, thinks that designers need to get involved in the development of AI or else they’re gonna be left out. “If you don’t join the AI revolution, you’re gonna be on the sidelines,” he said. And this guy knows what he’s talking about – he’s the co-founder of one of the biggest tech companies out there. So, yeah, it’s time for designers to get with the program. And you know what? AI is just gonna keep getting more and more important, whether you like it or not. Hey, it’s unstoppable. So, it’s better to be part of the change than getting left behind. Get with it, people. And who knows, maybe designers getting involved in AI could even help limit the negative impact of it. So, you gotta ask yourself – do you wanna be part of the future or left out? Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. And Chesky’s even got a new product in the works for Airbnb. He’s been working hard on making sure the company’s got a strong offering, even with the surge of new users during the pandemic. Looks like there’s big things coming. Gonna surprise you. Keep an eye out. And hey, if you like interviews and in-depth features, don’t miss Dezeen’s newsletter. It’s gonna keep you in the loop on all things design.
