So, check this out, man. Discord is making a big move and pulling the plug on its AI chatbot, Clyde. Yeah, less than a year after they first introduced it, they’re deactivating it at the end of this month. It’s like, whoa.
Now, Clyde was supposed to be this AI helper that you could access right within the server. You could talk to it for fun, ask it to play games, or tell you jokes. But it didn’t roll out everywhere, and some users even complained that their servers never got access to the bot. And get this, some screenshots posted on the Discord subreddit showed that it could easily be coaxed into spouting bad stuff.
Now, I don’t know why they’re shutting it down, but it’s happening. Clyde will be no more come December. Discord has integrated other AI features in the last year, so maybe they’re just moving in a different direction. But yeah, Clyde’s out. Peace out, Clyde.
