Hey folks, there’s some exciting news coming out of OpenAI! They’re dropping some fresh beta features for all you ChatGPT Plus members out there. Now, according to the subscribers who got their hands on the update, you can actually upload files and work with them. That’s right, no more messing around with modes like “Browse with Bing” from the GPT-4 dropdown. The new system will play it smart and figure out what you’re looking for based on the context. It’s like having a mind-reading chatbot!
Now, here’s where things get even more interesting. OpenAI’s bringing some of those boss features from their ChatGPT Enterprise plan to the individual chatbot subscription. It’s like they took a little bit of that amazing office stuff and sprinkled it on the standalone package. Sweet!
Now, I gotta be real with you guys. I don’t have the multimodal update on my own Plus plan (bummer), but I did get a chance to check out the Advanced Data Analysis feature. And I gotta say, it did its job. Once you feed that file to ChatGPT, it takes a hot minute to digest it and get ready to play with it. But once it’s locked and loaded, this chatbot can do some amazing things. I’m talking about summarizing data, answering questions, and even whipping up data visualizations based on whatever prompts you throw at it. It’s like having a data superhero right at your fingertips.
And guess what? This chatbot isn’t limited to just text files. Someone over on Threads uploaded a screenshot of a conversation where they threw in an image of a capybara. Then they asked ChatGPT, through DALL-E 3 (that’s some fancy image magic), to create a badass Pixar-style image based on it. And let me tell you, it delivered! But that’s not all. They even pushed the concept further by uploading another image, this time of a wiggly skateboard, and asked this wizardry chatbot to stick it in there. And get this, for some reason, it actually put a hat on that skateboard. Who knows why? Maybe the bot thought it needed a little swag!
All I can say is, OpenAI is constantly pushing boundaries and bringing us mind-blowing updates. So if you’re a ChatGPT Plus member, buckle up and get ready to explore these new beta features. It’s a wild ride, my friends!
