Alright, so check it out. There’s this CEO of a really big company you might have heard of – one of the companies that’s driving the whole AI revolution thing. And he’s got a pretty wild prediction – this dude is saying we might be seeing artificial general intelligence, or AGI, in, get this, the next five years. Now, this was all said at the 2023 New York Times DealBook Summit, and this guy, Andrew Ross Sorkin, asking him about whether or not we’d get to see AGI in the next 10 years or so. And the CEO’s response? He said, yeah, pretty much, depending on how you define it. That this AGI is gonna be like a software or a computer that can do some sort of tests that reflect basic intelligence that’s “fairly competitive” to your average human. That’s pretty wild right? So, this CEO, Jensen Huang, says, within five years, you’re gonna see AIs that can achieve these tests. And that’s major, because he’s designing chips, and he’s saying his chips are made possible by AI. But he also mentioned that AI isn’t at the point of human-level intelligence, yet. But he’s not the only one making claims like this, you know? I mean, other execs from big tech companies are saying similar things. So, who knows what’s gonna happen, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on.
