Here’s a wild news report I read on Business Insider. Apparently, this guy who runs OpenAI has some pretty impressive real estate in the Bay Area and Hawaii. I’m talking multimillion-dollar properties, man. This dude is living large.
And get this: the CEO’s salary is only $66,792 a year. That’s it! But at the same time, he managed to snag a $43 million estate on the Big Island of Hawaii. The property is even next to a reconstruction of the royal temple of the last ruler of the unified Hawaiian islands, King Kamehameha I. Must be nice!
This guy also scooped up a $27 million residence in San Francisco’s Russian Hill. And then there’s a $15.7 million ranch in Napa. That one spans 950 acres and was used by a group of young men who bought it for $850,000 in 1978. It’s absolutely wild.
He also has a mysterious piece of land in Big Sur. Apparently, he’s been preparing for some kind of doomsday scenario. This was brought up in conversation even before the whole COVID-19 pandemic!
This whole situation is just mind-blowing. Who is this guy and how did he land these properties? It’s almost as if he’s planning for some kind of apocalyptic event. Crazy stuff, man.
