In this article, we’re talking about smartphone technology that’s coming next year. Samsung had launched its own tool called “Gauss”. This will become a feature in Samsung devices, setting them apart from the competition with specialized AI powers. The product is designed to enhance user experience by including features such as image generation, coding, and language models.
And speaking of language models, this bad boy could potentially compose emails, summarize documents, and handle translations. And as reports suggest, it may support both Korean and English. The coding tool makes it easy for developers to generate all types of content, from a written code description to test cases.
Now picture this, the image generator tool is another piece of the puzzle, which will allow for picture editing. It can also convert lower resolution images into higher quality ones. All of this could make its way into the Galaxy S24 series. The anticipation is killing us; estimations suggest an early to mid-January launch window.
Samsung is riding the wave of AI tech according to its Q3 2023 earnings call. They expect this feature to drum up sales. Also, we just found out that they’ll bring generative AI to Bixby, which is their virtual assistant. On the flipside, Apple’s latest iPhone 15, which launched in September, didn’t seem to mention AI at all. The next rumored iteration is at least ten months away.
It doesn’t come as a shocker that Samsung is leaning towards making their own AI models. Not only does it give them an edge in today’s competitive market, but they’ve had trouble in the past with employees using external AI tools. In fact, last April there was an issue with ChatGPT where employees leaked sensitive information. This led to a brief ban on using AI tools.
