On the 17 and 18 October delegates from the fuel retail industry will head to Alicante, Spain for forecourttech ’23. The annual conference and meetings convention will bring fuel retailers and technology providers together in a program of speaker presentations, pre-scheduled meetings and networking focused on technologies that optimise fuel and convenience retailing and enhance the customer experience.
Autonomous stores are a key discussion point in this year’s programme. Sabine Benoit Professor of Marketing at The University of Surrey Business School and Ted X speaker will discuss the technology options available and consumer perceptions around the stores. Om Shankar, General Manager at JUXTA will outline how retailers can move beyond the traditional c-store format and João Dinis Soares, Retail 4.0 Transformation Manager at Galp Energia will give a retailer’s insight into self and autonomous checkout solutions.
The ongoing energy transition will also feature heavily as the industry tries to prepare for an unclear future. Michel Hinfelaar, CEO & Senior Consultant at Haia Consultancy will look at bridging legacy systems and modern technology for enhanced customer experiences in the energy transition. Jörg Heilingbrunner, CEO, Scheidt & Bachmann Fuel Retail Solutions will also place emphasis on the customer journey and how frictionless charging experiences will play an important role.
The conference program will again be moderated by NACS Global Director, Mark Wohltmann, and will also include panel discussions on artificial intelligence and mobility. AI is a hot topic not just in the fuel retail industry and forecourttech has gathered a panel of experts to debate and discuss the opportunities and challenges it presents. The panel will be chaired by Gray Taylor Executive Director at Conexxus who will be joined by Frodi Hammer, Founder & CEO at fuel pricing specialists, A2i; Sridhar Sudarsan, CTO at SparkCognition an AI solutions provider across multiple industries and Fernando Carrasco, CEO & Co-founder of Locatium a global location intelligence platform.
