Now check this out, man. So there’s this thing called Artificial Intelligence, or AI for short, and it’s everywhere, dude. It’s on social media, it’s in business, it’s like a wave crashing into our world. And get this, Fresno State, they’re offering an AI in Business certificate program for all students, man, no matter what they’re majoring in. Even non-students can take it through the Division of Continuing and Global Education.
We got this associate professor, Dr. Stephen Choi, from the Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at Fresno State, and he’s saying that AI is gonna transform business even more than the internet did. It’s gonna open up a whole new world of opportunities, bro.
Choi’s telling students, “Look, a tsunami is coming, man, and you gotta be prepared. Take an AI class.” He’s comparing it to the PC and internet revolutions of the past. Jobs are gonna change, disappear even, but new ones will emerge. It’s like a rebirth of our world, all thanks to AI.
Here’s what Choi says, “I’m talking 40% to 60% of white-collar jobs being eliminated. But don’t freak out, man. It’s gonna free up professionals to create new stuff, to innovate. And you gotta be on the front line, dude. Employers are already asking about AI skills in job interviews.”
So, AI classes have been available for business administration students and computer science students at Fresno State. They’re applying AI to solve business problems, using it to analyze big financial data and create awesome customer service platforms. But now they got this new AI in Business certificate program, man. It’s gonna show employers that you know your stuff, that you can code and solve business problems.
There’s this senior named Angel Martinez, studying business administration with a focus on finance. He’s all about that AI in Business certificate, bro. He’s a first-gen college student, and he’s thinking about becoming a chief financial officer one day. He knows AI is gonna play a big part in his career, making financial analysis easier and helping predict future revenue. But you gotta have that domain knowledge of business and know how to program, man.
Oh, and get this, Choi’s doing these community workshops on AI. You can learn all about it, get the inside scoop. There’s an introduction workshop and an AI Algorithms workshop. They’re happenin’ soon, so check ’em out if you wanna dive deeper into AI. Just gotta register, man.
