There was this survey that showed like, 47% of the responses ChatGPT generated for medical content were straight-up made up, man! Another 46% had some truth but with inaccuracies. Only 7% were completely legit. That’s not great odds, bro. And let’s not forget, these AI models struggle with language and meaning, man. They might not give the right answers, especially when it comes to complex questions. You can’t trust them fully, man.
We gotta be cautious, bro, for the sake of the patients. Right now, there’s this lack of trust, you know? Like, half of the patients ain’t fully sold on AI advice. But they’re open to a combo of AI and human input, you feel me? We gotta strike that balance, man. We can reduce admin work and make things like appointment scheduling and billings easier, while also giving patients a quick way to get non-urgent healthcare info. It’s all about improving the patient’s experience, man.
But here’s the thing, bro. We still got some gaps in the regulations for generative-AI in healthcare. That ain’t good, man. We gotta protect patient data and make sure it ain’t getting breached or exposed, you know? We gotta follow those HIPAA laws, bro, and make sure everything is secure and private.
So, look, generative-AI models can be useful, man. But we gotta be smart about it. We gotta be cautious and watch out for any errors or misinformation.
